ABOUT THIS TRACK: Carlos Hevia was the president of Cuba for less than 40 hours. After recognizing that his presidency was doomed before it began, he walked out of the presidential palace in the middle of the night, stating “I am going back to my cane fields to cut cane.” At around 2:20 a.m. he started making his way back to his home.
